Croissant with fig jam

Ingredients

  • Baking powder: 3 teaspoons

  • Sugar: 1/2 cup

  • Flour: 2.5 cups

  • Melted butter: 1/2 cup

  • Eggs: 2 pcs

  • Badr fig jam: 3 cups

  • Cinnamon: 1 soupspoon

  • Green cardamom powder: 1 teaspoon

First, mix the sugar and melted butter together to dissolve a little sugar. Then add 1 egg to the ingredients and mix well until completely uniform with the ingredients. Mix the flour and baking powder and sift 3 times until completely airy and light. Sift the flour little by little into the ingredients and knead the ingredients well until a suitable dough is finally created. Put the dough in a greased container and cover it with a damp cloth and leave it in a warm place for an hour to rest. When the dough has rested, open it on a floured table and after smoothing the surface, cut it into smaller triangular pieces. Then break the egg and separate the yolk and egg white, mix the egg white well and beat on the surface of the dough. Mix fig jam with cinnamon and cardamom and knead the dough and cover the whole surface. Roll the dough gently and place in a greased baking tray. When the dough has rested, open it on a floured table and after smoothing the surface, cut it into smaller triangular pieces. Then break the egg and separate the yolk and egg white, mix the egg white well and beat on the surface of the dough. Mix fig jam with cinnamon and cardamom and knead the dough and cover the whole surface. Roll the dough gently and place in a greased baking tray. Rub the egg yolk on it and put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 ° C and cook it.
